Notice is hereby given in terms of section 49(1) (a) (i) read with sec 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act 6/2004), hereinafter referred to as the “Act” that the second (2nd) Supplementary Valuation Roll(s) for the financial years 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2013 lies open for public inspection at the various municipal offices & libraries within the municipal boundaries and/or in addition at www.plett.gov.za from 17 March 2011 to 21 April 2011.

Recently rumours have been circulating that the Bitou Municipality has taken a decision to close down the library in town and to incorporate same into the about to be constructed new New Horizons library. It is claimed that there has been no consultation in this regard.
