Learners’ and driver’s licence women empowerment project
The Bitou Municipality wishes to afford thirty (30) women with the opportunity to obtain their Drivers Licence (Code 10). The Council invites persons who are residing in Bitou to submit applications in order to participate from the above-mentioned project. Strictly women who are residing in Bitou will be considered.Application forms for the Driver’s Licence Project are available from the Gender Unit of the Bitou Municipality, Main Building, Sewell Street, Plettenberg Bay and at all other municipal satellite offices and libraries.

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 4 (7) of the Land Use Planning Ordinance, 1985 (Ordinance 15 of 1985) that an application has been received for an amendment of the Knysna–Wilderness–Plettenberg Bay “Guide Plan” in order to change the reservation of Portion 4 of the Farm Ladywood No. 438 from “Agriculture/Forestry” to “Township Development”. Municipal Notice No 134/2010: Water test results
Test results: Water and Wastewater Treatment plants
It is required by DWA (Department Of Water Affairs) that the final water effluent results of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants should be tested once a month by an SANNAS accredited laboratory. This is also one of the criteria used for the attainment of the Blue and Green Drop status. The results demonstrate Bitou Municipality’s compliance with the SANS 241 specifications for Water and Waste Water Purification Plants effluent treatment.
