Test results: Treatment plants

It is required by DWA (Department Of Water Affairs) that the final water effluent results of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants should be tested once a month by an SANNAS accredited laboratory. This is also one of the criteria used for the attainment of the Blue and Green Drop status.


Herewith are the results as tested by A.L ABBOTT and ASSOCIATES (PTY) Ltd) in Cape Town that demonstrates Bitou Municipality’s compliance with the SANS 241 specifications for Water and Waste Water Purification Plants effluent treatment.
